I was born in 1966, am married, and a father of two adult sons. My professional journey began in 1988 in the technical wholesale industry. Leveraging my natural talents for sales, leadership, and building connections, I quickly progressed into various management roles. By 2008, I was regional director, leading around 50 people across three locations in the South of the Netherlands. A year later, I became the owner-director (DGA: Managing Director and Major Shareholder) of my own branch of Brammer in Roermond.

That period was all about building, rapid growth, connecting people, and celebrating successes together — but also about hard work, setbacks, and getting back up again. I built my own team and learned a lot, not only about entrepreneurship but especially about collaboration and people-centered leadership.

An unexpected turn — and new insights!

In 2012, I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis). What followed was a time of medical treatments, uncertainty, and physical limitations. Five years later, I was declared 40% disabled. This forced me to delegate tasks, trust my team, and let go — confident that things would be okay. Thanks to their strength and dedication, we were even able to continue growing our Roermond branch during that challenging period.

My wife Nicole, herself a self-employed entrepreneur for over sixteen years, played a crucial role both mentally and physically. As a health practitioner, she supported me throughout my illness and helped stabilize my symptoms. Thanks to her, I am today able to do much more than I ever dared to imagine back then.

This phase brought me closer to myself. I discovered the TalentScan, which helped me redefine my path and clarify who I am and what I want to contribute. I trained as a TalentScan Practitioner and Coach.

In 2018, I sold my shares, and by the end of 2024, I formally said goodbye to the Rubix group.

Moving forward together — the birth of MAXURTALENT

In 2025, we founded MAXURTALENT — a shared initiative born from our desire to guide people who, like us, stand at a crossroads in life or career. For us, this work feels like a natural destination: a place where everything comes together — experience, purpose, dedication, and connection.

We believe that life, no matter how unpredictable, always offers opportunities to choose anew.
